Our History
We've been racing sailboats on Bow Lake for over 40 years. The Bob Evans regatta is run on Sundays in July and August. Lightnings and Catamarans make up most of the fleet but other boats are welcomed and encouraged.

When Covid-19 shut down most activities we decided to add model sailboat racing to our activities. The RC Laser is our boat of choice, since it is inexpensive and comes ready to sail. It's about sailing - not about boat building. We have 14 members (but sadly only a few are members of AMYA) and 21 boats - enough loaner boats that non sailors can come try it out, and sailors who have other boats can come try an RC Laser.

Fleet races are scheduled on occasional Fridays and Saturdays in Spring, Summer and Fall, while we hold an annual regatta in September. In 2022 it's on Saturday September 24.
