How to Become a Member
The Nautilus Place RC Laser Yacht Cub races in an inlet on the Long Island Sound. We are located in New Rochelle NY near Glen Island. Our group gathers approximately twice a month during good weather months. Since the Long Island Sound is tidal we need to wait for dates with a High Tide. We usually aim for Friday evenings but we also do Saturday or Sunday afternoons depending on the tide chart. We are currently a group of 14 but can have anywhere from 5-8 boats racing in an evening. After the races (5-10 depending on wind and race committee patience) we have a group pot luck meal. Food assignments are given out ahead of time. Our club also has some loaner boats for those new to the sport to try their hand before committing to buy an RC Laser.
